(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - He added good steps had been taken against the new virus ‘Stars’ and his ministry had issued the necessary warnings in this regard. The country had taken the same precautions that it took against the previous virus (Stuxnet).
As regards the function of the Stars, he said the virus disrupts operation of production plants, equipment and machinery.
Stars virus was uncovered by Iran in April.
This is the second cyber attack waged by hostile powers to undermine the country’s nuclear, economic and industrial activities. The commander of civil defense Gholam Reza Jalali said earlier the new virus was being investigated by experts. "Our experts have been able to uncover Stars and it is now in the laboratory for more investigations," Jalali said.
