In a press conference held on Saturday, Apr.23, in Basra, Law makers from Ahrar and State of Law demanded, "Immediate release of citizens arrested by American occupation forces in raids of their homes without legal justification, considering such oppressive action a violation of the Security Agreement's clauses concluded between governments of Iraq and the United States, stipulating that American forces are not to enter Iraqi cities."
They pointed out that being law makers along with the local government demand the American forces to immediately release detainees with no legal justification and without obtaining the permission of Iraqi authorities.
