(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - “West is fighting an open war against Islam”, Dr. Fareed Paracha, Deputy Secretary General of Jamat-e-Islami Pakistan , said while speaking at a round table discussion on “Awakening of Muslim Ummah”.
He regretted that for last many years dictators have been ruling many Muslim countries. “They are forwarding western agenda to prolong their unlawful rules”, he believed. “These dictators are traitors to their nations… they are corrupt morally and financially”, he opined.
Dr Fareed Paracha described recent uprisings in Muslim world as blessings of Almighty Allah. “We are experiencing great wave of awakening in Muslim Ummah”, he added.
The religious leader said that now these dictators are trying to stop peaceful uprisings against them by force. “Innocent people were bombed in these movements”, he said.
He was of the opinion that despotic rulers of Muslim world are afraid of their future. He said that U.S. is trying to hijack these popular movements.
Dr Fareed Paracha condemned landing of troops in Libya . The JI leader said an Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) has failed to protect the rights of Muslim countries.
He said that Iran ’s Islamic Revolution has been source of inspiration for the oppressed Muslim nations.
The religious leader praised the role of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in highlighting the problems of Muslim world.
Dr Fareed Paracha stressed for unity among Muslim Ummah to encounter conspiracies.
He said that his party has submitted a motion in senate on the issue of Bahrain . “West cannot attack these movements as they are fully democratic”, he said.
He added that Islam is the most modern religion and the only religion which ‘teaches us to sacrifice’.
Dr Fareed Paracha expressing his views said that no doubt movements in Arab world are driven by religion.
