(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - In an address to the meeting, titled: "Current Movements of the World of Islam, Do's and Don'ts"; Major General Rahim Safavi was cited by IRIB as adding that the former geopolitical system of Middle East and North Africa which had taken shape as of the establishment of the Zionist regime has currently collapsed.
He went on to point out that the Islamic awakening of the regional nations is another new geopolitical feature of the Middle East and North Africa. He added that the failure of the Zionist regime in the 33-Day Lebanon War and the 22-Day Gaza raid; intensification of the Zionist regime's invasions and injustice, especially the Israeli regime's military raid on Gaza, and the siege of this impoverished enclave by the Zionists for several years are some of the most important new geopolitical features of Middle East and North Africa.
In further remarks, Major General Rahim Safavi said that the former geopolitical system of the Middle East and North Africa, which was based on complete domination of Western powers, has been shattered and the regional geopolitical transition phase toward establishment of a new system being an Islamic Middle East has arrived, in which the nations determine their own fate.
