The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry said here Tuesday that Iraq has perfect right to expel members of the terrorist group of Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) from the Camp Ashraf in that country.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry said here Tuesday that Iraq has perfect right to expel members of the terrorist group of Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) from the Camp Ashraf in that country.  

Ramin Mehmanparast made the remarks at his weekly news conference, adding the MKO are accused of carrying out not only crimes and 12,000 assassinations in Iran, but also criminal offences against the Iraqi nation.

On regional developments and the question of some Iranain diplomats expelled from Kuwait, Mehmanparast said those who are sowing discord among the regional Islamic nations are to take full advantage of these events to benefit the US and the Zionist regime.

Camp Ashraf or Ashraf City is situated northeast of the Iraqi town of Khalis, about 120 kilometers west of the Iranian border and 60 kilometers north of Baghdad, and is the seat of the MKO members in Iraq. The MKO are also known as Munafiqin (hypocrites).
