85 billion rials has been allocated to pilgrims’ affairs in Khorasan Razavi Province in the next year’s budget.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - 85 billion rials has been allocated to pilgrims’ affairs in Khorasan Razavi Province in the next year’s budget.

Mahmoud Salehi, the province’s general governor, said: “The allocation has been a priority in the province especially when considering over 25 million pilgrims who annually travel to Mashhad and make use of the city’s facilities and accommodations.”

He also referred to some decisions made in pilgrimage national assembly chaired by the vice president, among which was launching the coordination and management deputy of pilgrimage affairs in the province’s general governor’s.

“A special plan to arrange the pilgrims’ affairs has been the allocation of 85 billion rials in the annual budget,” he went on to say.

“Also, to support low-paid pilgrims, another 20 billion rials is provided by the president’s supervising deputy and the central bank,” Mr. Salehi further said adding that 4 inexpensive residential complexes are also going to be constructed in Mashhad.
