(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Pakistani officials told Press TV that militants detonated explosives in the building of a girls' primary school in Zakhakhel area in Landi Kotal tehsil on Thursday morning.
At least 350 female students are enrolled at the destroyed school. No human loss was reported in the attack, but the school building was completely destroyed.
The attack comes a day after militants destroyed one school and damaged another in Dera Adam Khel in northwest Pakistan on Wednesday.
Militants have destroyed some 500 schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) regions in the past three years.
Last year, two Pakistani female teachers were shot dead in Bajaur tribal agency by the Taliban.
Reports show that over 250 schools were destroyed in Bajaur, 86 turned to rubbles in nearby Khyber and 59 others were destroyed in Mohmand tribal areas.
