Former Lebanese President Emile Lahoud considered that what is happening in the Arab world, regarding the recent popular revolutions stand out as evidence that the people are the ones to decide their own fate.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Former Lebanese President Emile Lahoud considered that what is happening in the Arab world, regarding the recent popular revolutions stand out as evidence that the people are the ones to decide their own fate.

In a statement issued from his Media bureau, after receiving a group of high ranked political figures, Lahoud stressed on calling for the collapse of sectarianism and seeking the unity of the people.

He also affirmed that there is no power over the power of the people, where there is no difference between any two citizens, adding that sectarianism represents trouble on Lebanon, and the unity of the Lebanese people would be enhanced when sectarian and factorial crisis are overcome.

Former President Lahoud said that the Lebanese should all stand together in one line to confront all conspiracies schemed against them by the "Israeli" enemy.
