(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - It is no wonder that there is unrest in Bahrain following recent protests in Tunisia and Egypt, however it has now come to light following a report in this week's Sunday Times Home section that Bahrain's Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman al-Khalifa has recently spent a staggering £43.5m on a London property.

Despite the recent 'Day of Rage' protest held in Bahrain where a protester was killed and another killed yesterday during the protesters funeral, the country's Prime Minister who was partly educated in Britain has bought Blackwood House, part of a development of eight mansions in the Grade I listed Cornwall Terrace near Regent Park in the capital, the former headquarters of British Land.

According to The Sunday Times, the 10,772 sq ft house has six bedrooms, four reception rooms, a gym, a spa and a separate mews house. As a condition of the sale, the developer was required to re register the house's address with the post office from No 6 to No 7, which is considered luckier.

As reported elsewhere, it remains to be seen whether the recent unrest in Bahrain will spread and affect the forthcoming Grand Prix, the Bahraini Royal Family and Government as well as Bernie Ecclestone himself are keeping a close eye on the situation.
