Around 330,000 people visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque (SZGM) last January, an increase of ten percent compared to December 2010, says a press release.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Around 330,000 people visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque (SZGM) last January, an increase of ten percent compared to December 2010, says a press release.

January 29 witnessed the highest turnout with a record-breaking 29,000 visitors from around the world.

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre seeks to acquaint visitors with the SZGM landmarks. These reflect the aesthetics and characteristics of Islamic arts in Abu Dhabi, and display them to the public through regular informative tours organized by the Centre.

The tours start every day and run from 9:00am until 8:00pm. A number of UAE guides provide a detailed explanation about the mosque and its architectural significance in Abu Dhabi, the UAE and the region.
