Baghdad (Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Source at the National Alliance said that a meeting between Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki, and Leader of Iraqiya Slate, Iyad Allawi will take place next week.

According to a source on Friday, Jan. 21, “Leader of the National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Maliki, is preparing for a meeting between Maliki and Allawi to work out complexities, including Iraqiya’s demand to vote by Parliament on choosing Chairman of the National Council for Strategic Policies.”

He added, “Maliki and Allawi will discuss the issue of filling security ministries posts and remaining ministries, especially the Ministry of Electricity, with the possibility that Iraqiya present another nominee or to take instead the Ministry of Municipalities.”

Nominee for the post of Minister of Electricity, Legislator Ziyad Tariq, told NINA news agency that Maliki offered him instead the post of Minister of Municipalities.

It is not worthy that Maliki and Allawi have recently held several meetings announcing that the points of view are identical on many issues, including the National Council of Strategic Policies.

Iraqiya State demands that voting on the Council’s Chairman should be in Parliament not in the Council.
