In a meeting with the Secretary General of Ahlul Bayt (a.s) World Assembly and delegation of Azeri Shias, the difficulties of Ahlul Bayt (a.s) followers in Azerbaijan considered.

 (AhlulBayt News Agency) - The meeting was held with the attendance of “Mr. Haj Ali Ikram Aliuf” the ex-Islamist leader of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and some Shia Azeri activist. The Azeri delegation gave a report about Azeri oppressed Shia and also emphasized on their courageous resistance in “Azeri Hijab Ban in School”.

The delegation severely condemned the Azeri government and expressed: the government illegally banned the Hijab in schools without the permission of the parliament just because of testing the community’s tolerance against anti-religious activities.

“The people of Azerbaijan never give up their religion – especially Azeri zealous woman – and will strongly resist against government’s anti-religious and Islamphobia acts.” the delegation affirmed.

The Secretary General of Ahlul Bayt (a.s) World Assembly said: No power in the world can eliminate Islam and Ahl ul Bayt (a.s), because Islam is in the nature of mankind.

“Azeri Shia during the Communist Period protected their faith with difficulty. Nowadays, they should be in welfare and freedom to do their rituals.” Akhtari said.

At the end Akhtari stressed that in near future Ahlul Bayt (a.s) World Assembly – which is an international NGO – will write a letter to the Azerbaijan president “Elham Aliuf” and will explain him the most important problems of Shia Muslim.
