(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Some 10,000 copies of translation of Islam’s holy book will be distributed among Muslims and non-Muslims in the Netherlands, Turkey’s Hurriyet Daily reports.
The translations are in Dutch language and publishing them started in the holy month of Ramadan (September).
The move has been planned by Turkey’s Waqf Dianat Organization on the occasion of naming 2010 as the Year of the Holy Quran.
It is aimed at combating the growing trend of Islamophobia in Europe and presenting the true image of Islam and the teachings of the Noble Quran to Europeans.
The plan is implemented in association with the Religious Cooperation Organization based in the Hague.
