Secretary General of the Forum for the Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought Ayatollah Muhammad Ali Taskhiri, said here on Saturday that Iran and Pakistan can adopt better positions vis-à-vis the challenges by promoting mutual cooperation.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Secretary General of the Forum for the Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought Ayatollah Muhammad Ali Taskhiri, said here on Saturday that Iran and Pakistan can adopt better positions vis-à-vis the challenges by promoting mutual cooperation. 

In a meeting with the visiting Pakistani Minister of Welfare, Population and Women's Affairs Firdaus Awana, he said Iran and Pakistan are a single unified nation.

He referred t o the status of the women in Iran's culture and said that they occupy high political and social positions.

Awana, for her part, referred to the Iranian women's scientific and social achievements and thanked scholars for supporting women's rights.

Stating that Pakistan always supported Iran, she appreciated Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and the Iranian nation for their all-out support for Pakistani people in the recent catastrophe in the country.
