(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Sixty thousand Turkish pilgrims reached Mecca and Medina on Monday, although seven of their number died after arrival.
A total of 100,000 Turkish pilgrims, 90,000 from Turkey itself and 10,000 from other countries such as those in Europe, earned the right from the Religious Affairs Directorate to perform the annual hajj pilgrimage. While 60,000 of them reached Saudi Arabia, seven pilgrims, Ahmet Yağan, 71, Ayşe Serin, 90, Kasım Seçim Ekeryılmaz, 60, Reşat Salık, 80, Kittan Acar, 86, Ayten Aydın 57, and Mustafa Benderlioğlu, 87, died, five from heart failure.
