The First Imam Reza Storytelling Festival will be held in Saari, Mazandaran province on October 14.

SARI, Iran (AhlulBayt News Agency) - The First Imam Reza Storytelling Festival will be held in Saari, Mazandaran province on October 14.

Announcing this, managing director of the Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA), Seyyed Sadeq Rezai, said over 800 people will take part in the festival.

The festival aims to help promote Razavi culture, the thoughts and teachings of Imam Reza (AS)--the eighth Shiite imam, the institute’s PR office said in a fax to Iran Daily.

IIDCYA trainers have so far submitted over five plays, 20 magazines and 200 letters to Imam Reza (AS) to the festival’s secretariat.

Forty storytellers will be judged in the festival’s first round; eight of whom will be introduced to the International Imam Reza Festival scheduled for mid-October.

It will be held in numerous categories such as visual arts, film and theater.
