Ahlul Bayt News Agency ; Iran -- The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Forces Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour said Sunday the combatants of Hamzah Sayyed al-Shohada (AS) base and IRIGC ground forces in a successful operation killed the main agents behind the recent terrorist attack in the northwestern Iranian city of Mahabad.
"After the recent terrorist attack in Mahabad, the Intelligence Ministry and ground forces of the Sayyed al-Shohada (PBUH) base identified the members of the terrorist group. Some of the terrorists were arrested and some others were killed in the operation" Brigadier General Pakpour added.
12 people killed and 20 injured in a terrorist attack in northwestern Iranian city of Mahabad in West Azarbaijan Province.
Women and children were the most who were killed and wounded in the attack.
