Ahlul Bayt News Agency ; Thousands of Shia worshippers demonstrated in front of Zaynabiah mosque in Istanbul to protest against Quran burning incidents in a number of American cities. The crowd began chanting slogans against the Zionist regime and the USA.
To express their anger, protestors were carrying placards containing slogans such as «Quran is the soul of Islam», « We sacrifice ourselves for Quran», «Shame on America», «Down with Israel».
Kasim Alcan, who is in charge of Zaynabieh social activities, addressing the protestors and reporters said, “Today we have gathered here to express our disgust and indignation against this inhuman act carried out by a certain number of Americans.”
Undoubtedly, the Quran burning plan was plotted by the Zionist regime and American authorities. This plan is part of the Zionist regime’s plot to spread Islamophobia. They seek to stop the spread of Islam in the world. Islam’s enemies are now in a direct and evident war against Muslims”.
He added that desecrating the holy Quran equals insulting all heavenly religions and Divine Scriptures.
Kasim Alcan stressed that Muslims will protect their holy book at any cost and said, “ We will not allow anyone to treat our Holy Scripture with disrespect under any circumstances”.
