Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), Over 250 works from several Islamic states will be exhibited in a non-competitive section of the Third International Islamic World Painting Festival.
The event has met with an enthusiastic reception. These works will be shown in a non-competitive section since the deadline for submitting the entries has ended, the event’s secretary, Mohammad Reza Kamarei said.
“We have received Beautiful paintings from across the world, including 8,000 works from 15 Islamic states,” he said.
The festival will be held on October 8 to mark the World Children’s Day.
UNESCO has supported the festival, he said, adding that many countries have submitted works to the festival among which Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bangladesh and Sudan have sent more.
Tehran and Semnan provinces ranked first in terms of the number of entries. Some 300-400 paintings will be selected for display on the festival’s opening.
