The 4th edition of Quran competition for Yemeni children and teenagers kicked off yesterday, July 18, in the city of Zubaid, Saba.net reported.

The contest is being held in memorization category at three levels of memorization of 5, 10, and 20 Juzes (sections) of the holy Quran.

It has been organized by the public library of the city of Zubaid. Hisham Waru, director of the library, said the competition will run through July 25.

He added that the contestants have qualified for the competition after winning top titles at preliminary levels held at Quran memorization centers across Yemen.

30 children and teenagers have attended the 8-day competition.
