Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), A Khatam al-Quran ceremony was held recently for Bruneian students in Manchester at Al-Furqaan Mosque in Manchester.
The guest of honour at the event was the Director of Studies at the Brunei Students Unit in London, Cikgu Abdullah bin Haji Ahad. The ceremony began with the recital of surah al-fatihah led by Uztaz Haji Raminey bin Haji Salleh, the Religious Officer at the Brunei Students Unit, followed by the recital of Ayat-Ayat Lazim, Takhtim, Doa Khatam and Dikir Marhaban.
The ceremony was aimed at marking the end of the Quranic circle activity for this academic year which has been ongoing since last November, in which the students are not just merely reciting the Holy Quran but also understanding its meaning through pondering on the translations.
