Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), Iran - Hussein Asadi, director general of Quran and Hadith Office of the university said: “the registration for this edition of the Olympiad will begin from the second week of May and continue until June 10.”
He added: “oral section of the competition will include categories of memorization of 15 and 30 chapters of the Quran, Tahqeeq and Tarteel recitation, Adhan, supplication and religious singing.”
“For written part of the contest, participants should memorize 5, 10 and 20 chapters of the Quran and other categories of this part will consist of Quranic sciences, interpretation at general and elementary levels, thematic interpretation, translation of Nahjul Balaqa, memorization of Hadith, Sahifah Sajjadiyah, Hadiths from Usul Kafi, history and sources of Hadith, memorization of Doa Komeil and Sha’baniyeh prayer.”
Asadi also said that two fields of “Hadith comprehension” and “introduction to pilgrimage prayers” are being investigated to be included in the contest.
He added that Participants will also compete in the field of works with their books, articles, Weblogs and thesis.
Regarding that the Olympiad is going to be held for teachers and seminary students at various levels, he said: “29 fields have been specified for competition of students and seminary teachers will compete at 10 fields including thematic interpretation of the Quran, translation of Nahjul Balaqa, memorization of Hadith, Shaifah Sajjadiyah, history and sources of Hadith, Doa Komeil, Sha’baniyah prayer, book, article and weblog.”
He further added: “the first stages of the Olympiad, both in oral and written parts, as well as the final stage of its oral section, are due to be held in November and competence in some of the categories have been planned to be held online.”
