Fares Mohammad Ghasim Al-Ajm from Yemen, Muhammad Ayub Abdul Ghadir from Tunisia, Nassir Sani Blo from Nigeria, Abubakr Faani from the Ivory Coast, Ali Mukhtar Abbas Baqir from Kuwait, Abur-Rahamn bin Yusif from Mozambique and Muhammad Jan Mijbev from Tajikstan were the contestants on the second day.
The 11-day contest is underway in Kuwait City’s Sheraton Hotel. It is being held in the categories of memorization, recitation, Tarteel, and Tajweed.
An exhibition of Quranic and religious books and software is also underway on the sidelines of the competition.
