AhlulBayt News Agency: A conference on strengthening coexistence, promoting social peace and rejecting hatred between followers of different religions was held in the capital of Kosovo.

The conference entitled “Religious Coexistence Among Us: A Religious Virtue or a Social Necessity” was held at the Faculty of Islamic Studies in Pristina under the auspices of the Drita Foundation, the Muslimsaroundtheworld website reported.

The conference was divided into three main axes that addressed the issue of religious coexistence and tolerance in Kosovo.

In the first session, entitled “The Experience of Dialogue Around Us,” representatives of various religious communities shared their experiences in interfaith dialogue and the challenges it faces.

They presented practical examples of cooperation between the Catholic Church, the Islamic community and the Protestant Church, reflecting field experiences that can be applied at the regional level.

The second session delved deeper into the main topic of the roundtable by presenting analytical perspectives on the role of religion in society.

Representatives from Islamic, Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant communities, together with academics, presented their analytical perspectives on the role of religion in society. They emphasized that interfaith coexistence is both a fundamental value and an essential requirement for social stability and development.

The event concluded with an open dialogue session that brought together religious leaders in Kosovo.

Participants included Sheikh Naim Trnava, Grand Mufti of Kosovo and President of the Islamic Community of Kosovo; Dud Gjorge from the Catholic Church; Artur Krasniqi from the Evangelical Protestant Church and Andrej Saic from the Orthodox Church.
