Turkish Media Delegation Reports Normalcy and Public Solidarity Across Iranian Cities

A senior Turkish news executive traveling with a 72-member delegation has detailed his on-the-ground observations from several Iranian cities, reporting a state of normalcy and widespread public solidarity in the aftermath of criminal attacks by the United States and the Israeli regime.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Hassan Akaras, news director for Turkey's ON4 television network, provided a firsthand account of the situation in Urmia, Tabriz, Zanjan, and Tehran, highlighting the resilience of daily life and the robust presence of the Iranian people in support of their nation's defense capabilities.

Akaras described the delegation's mission as one of solidarity and delivering grassroots humanitarian aid to the Iranian people. His reports paint a picture of a populace unbowed by external military pressure.

In his first stop, Urmia, Akaras noted the continuity of ordinary life. While acknowledging damage sustained in certain districts, he reported a calm public atmosphere where routine activities proceed uninterrupted. During a visit with the family of a martyr, the Turkish journalist remarked on a pervasive spirit of sacrifice and unwavering loyalty to the homeland. He further observed that nightly gatherings in public squares demonstrating support for the country's defensive posture and its new leadership remain a prominent feature of the city's landscape.

In Tabriz, Akaras relayed the tragic story of 18-month-old Halma, who perished alongside family members in the strikes. The incident, he said, has resonated deeply across the nation, with the infant's image becoming a symbol of collective mourning and empathy. He also reported on massive public rallies in the northwestern city, emphasizing themes of national unity and a firm stance against separatist currents.

While visiting Zanjan, the ON4 news director reported damage to a religious site and the destruction of cultural resources, including a library's collection. Despite this, he pointed to nighttime vigils held under the banner of "Guarding the Homeland" as a clear indicator of the city's steadfastness and social cohesion.

Addressing the situation in the capital, Tehran, Akaras confirmed that despite the ferocity of the strikes at various junctures, life flows on and urban infrastructure remains operational. He described extensive public gatherings in the capital's main squares, characterized by support for the nation's military readiness and widespread skepticism toward proposed ceasefires.

Akaras also noted a discernible shift in Iranian public sentiment toward Turkey. He stated that Ankara's official stances throughout the recent crisis have been met with a positive response from the Iranian people, fostering a sense of increased trust and rapprochement between the two neighboring nations.
