Ayatollah Ahmadi Faqih: Statement and speech of Imam Sadiq important, reliable for everyone

A professor of advanced jurisprudence and principles of Islamic jurisprudence at the Qom Seminary stated: Many scholarly sources from Imam Ja'far Sadiq (AS) are found in both Shia and non-Shia sources, which are authoritative today. Thus, the scholarly dominance and greatness of Imam Sadiq (AS) had become so vast that it spread to all regions, and everyone accompanied and accepted him.

ABNA24 - A professor of advanced jurisprudence and principles of Islamic jurisprudence at the Qom Seminary stated: Many scholarly sources from Imam Ja'far Sadiq (AS) are found in both Shia and non-Shia sources, which are authoritative today. Thus, the scholarly dominance and greatness of Imam Sadiq (AS) had become so vast that it spread to all regions, and everyone accompanied and accepted him.

Ayatollah Mohammad Hossein Ahmadi Faqih Yazdi, a professor of advanced jurisprudence and principles of Islamic jurisprudence at the Qom Seminary, on the eve of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Sadiq (AS), considered him to be a figure of interest to all schools of thought and scholars, and stated: Imam Sadiq's (AS) mastery of scholarly and Qur'anic matters, as well as his command over the narrations and traditions attributed to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Amir al-Mu'minin Ali (AS), had caused him to gather many students around himself.

Ayatollah Ahmadi Faqih stated: In this position and among the gathering that had prepared to acquire knowledge and learning, the Imam had a strong relationship with the Islamic world. Particularly, those who were in close proximity would communicate with him and receive benefits, including Sunni Muslims who had not yet established a strong presence, yet they considered the Imam's view to be more comprehensive and preponderant.

He added: In this context, when people came to the mosque and raised their issues, the Imam would explain everything thoroughly and would state whether something was correct or incorrect by deriving evidence from the Qur'an and the traditions of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH).

This Shia scholar clarified: The speech of Imam Sadiq (AS) was important for everyone. Of course, among the people, there were obstinate individuals who were instigated and, by creating fear and terror among the people, would prevent them from going to the Imam's house. However, the people did not abandon the Imam and, by any means, directly or indirectly, would reach the Imam.

He stated: Enmities were undertaken, so the Imam would practice complete precautionary dissimulation (taqiyyah) when necessary. He would both advise those associated with him and exercise caution himself. And as you know, the Imam narrates the correct taqiyyah from his fathers and ancestors, as mentioned in a narration: Imam Ali ibn al-Husayn (AS) says: "Taqiyyah means that our narrations are difficult and extremely challenging; they cannot be conveyed to just anyone except to a prophet, a near-station angel, or a believer whose heart God has tested for faith [amtaḥana Allāhu qalbahu lil-imān]."

He emphasized in conclusion: Many scholarly sources from Imam Sadiq (AS) are found in other schools of thought apart from Shia sources, which are authoritative today. Thus, the scholarly dominance and greatness of Imam Sadiq (AS) had become so vast that it spread to all regions, and everyone accompanied and accepted him.
