AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The international religious, scientific, and cultural institutions of the Islamic Republic of Iran issued a statement condemning the attacks on schools, universities, places of worship, cultural heritage, infrastructure, and innocent people.
A portion of this statement, which was addressed to “prominent scholars, clergy of various religions and denominations, university professors, writers and media professionals, political elites, and all free people of the world,” reads, “With hearts filled with profound sorrow and sacred anger, on behalf of the international religious, scientific, and cultural institutions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, we express our strongest condemnation of the continued brutal aggression of the arrogant American imperialism and the criminal Zionist regime against our country's scientific, research, religious, and cultural centers.”
The statement adds, “These cowardly attacks began with the assassination of the mujahid leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, the martyred Grand Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei, along with the martyrdom of a number of high-ranking military commanders, and the attack on the Shajareh Tayebeh Elementary School in Minab - in which more than 175 innocent children and teachers were martyred - and have so far resulted in the deaths of hundreds of officials and defenseless civilians.”
It further states, “These crimes, assassinations, and killings continue to this day, constituting a blatant violation of human rights, international norms, and a trampling of ethical principles, religious values, and human conscience.”
In conclusion, it emphasizes, “We call upon free scientists, awakened preachers, holders of influential platforms, media activists, and all those who care about the fate of humanity to take a firm and clear stance against the crimes of the Zionist conspirators and their supporters in the bombing of scientific and research centers, mosques and churches, innocent civilians, infrastructure, and even Iran’s cultural heritage and historical sites; and to illuminate the various dimensions of this oppressive war in assemblies, events, and media, and to pave the way for the leaders of the bloodthirsty American government and the child-killing Zionist regime to be recognized as criminals in international courts.”
