ABNA24 - A group of religious scholars, community leaders, and members of the Muslim community in Mumbai have voiced strong support for Iran, condemning the ongoing acts of aggression by the United States and Israel.
The delegation visited the Iranian consulate in Mumbai, where they expressed solidarity with the Iranian nation and denounced recent developments as unjust and hostile actions against the country.
During the meeting, participants also expressed deep sorrow over the reported martyrdom of Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, describing it as a profound loss for the Muslim world. They extended condolences to the Iranian people and officials, calling the event a major tragedy for the broader Islamic community.
The group further pledged allegiance to the new leadership, naming Ayatollah Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei as the successor, and reaffirmed their commitment to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution, resistance, and support for oppressed people.
In talks with Iranian representatives, the delegation stressed that Muslims worldwide—particularly in India—stand united with Iran and will continue moral, religious, and social support at all levels.
Speaking at the gathering, Indian cleric Hojatoleslam Ali Abbas Rizvi said Iran has consistently supported oppressed nations, adding that current developments represent a clear confrontation between truth and falsehood. He called on Muslims, especially followers of the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT), to remain united and stand against injustice.
Participants also expressed readiness to provide further assistance and cooperation. As a gesture of solidarity, they presented a donation totaling 578,110 Indian rupees along with 100 US dollars.
The event concluded with prayers for the martyrs in recent events and for the success of resistance forces, with attendees reiterating their commitment to continue supporting Iran and opposing injustice.
