Over 85,000 Civilian Structures Damaged in Iran on US-Israeli Attacks

More than 85,000 civilian structures have been severely damaged in Iran due to US-Israeli attacks as of March 25, according to the head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society.

Pirhossein Koliand said on Wednesday that the attacks have caused significant harm to non-military structures, including 64,583 residential homes and 19,694 commercial units across various provinces.

In Tehran, over 26,717 residential and commercial units have been affected, he said.

The official added that 282 medical, pharmaceutical, and emergency centers and 600 schools have suffered extensive damage in the attacks.

He noted that some hospitals, such as Gandi and Andishmok, have become completely out of service due to the severe damage.

Education Ministry: 230 students and teachers martyred

Meanwhile, the head of the Information and Public Relations Center of the Ministry of Education said that since the beginning of the imposed war, 230 students and teachers have been martyred and 644 schools have been partially or completely destroyed by the enemy attacks.

Speaking with IRNA on Wednesday, Hossein Sadeghi said that according to statistics, 230 people, including 184 students and 46 teachers, have been martyred, and 177 students and teachers have been wounded as of March 24. 

He added that 644 schools and educational units in 17 provinces of the country that have been targeted in US-Israeli assaults have been completely destroyed or damaged.

The US and Israel launched their joint military aggression on Iran on February 28.
