ABNA24 - Iran’s Army has announced drone strikes on military infrastructure and fuel facilities in the Israeli-occupied territories.
The Army said in a statement on Saturday that its unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) targeted military sites, fuel storage tanks and the location of refueling aircraft used to support the regime’s fighter jets at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv.
According to the statement, the attacks were conducted before dawn and aimed at facilities involved in supporting military aviation operations.
The Army said that despite strict censorship by Israeli authorities, the strikes disrupted the refueling of military aircraft as well as airport operations and flights at Ben Gurion.
It added that the attacks also affected the transfer of military forces, forcing some movements to shift to rail transport, which it said could endanger civilians.
The Army declared that its forces possess a comprehensive target bank across the occupied territories, allowing continued drone operations deep inside those areas.
The statement further said that Ben Gurion Airport hosts fuel tankers, fuel storage facilities, special military units and installations linked to the Israeli air force. It also noted that aviation industries and fighter jet maintenance centers are located near the airport.
