US, Israel seek to disintegrate major Islamic countries: President Pezeshkian

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said the United States and the Israeli regime are seeking to weaken and fragment major Islamic countries, warning that Washington and Tel Aviv do not tolerate the presence of strong regional powers such as Iran, Egypt, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said the United States and the Israeli regime are seeking to weaken and fragment major Islamic countries, warning that Washington and Tel Aviv do not tolerate the presence of strong regional powers such as Iran, Egypt, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia.

In a phone call on Friday with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el‑Sisi, Pezeshkian discussed regional and international developments following criminal US and Israeli military aggression against Iran.

Pezeshkian said Iran had been engaged in negotiations when it was again subjected to military attacks, arguing that the incidents showed Washington was not seeking a genuine resolution.

He said that the United States and the Israeli regime pursue malicious objectives aimed at weakening and breaking up Iran and other major Islamic countries. At the same time, he stressed that Iran has no dispute with Islamic nations, describing them as brothers, but said Tehran would exercise its right to self‑defense if attacks were launched from bases used by its adversaries.

Pezeshkian also called on Islamic countries to remain vigilant against attempts to create divisions within the Muslim world. He welcomed any initiatives by regional states to strengthen unity, restore stability and promote peace.

Furthermore, he added that millions of Iranians had taken to the streets nationwide on International Quds Day despite threats and military attacks, demonstrating their support for Iran and the Palestinian cause.

In response, President el‑Sisi expressed condolences over the martyrdom of Iranian citizens and reiterated Egypt’s opposition to war, instability and insecurity in the region.

He stressed the importance of resolving disputes through diplomacy and warned that continued conflict could threaten regional and global stability, urging all parties to exercise restraint.
