AhlulBayt News Agency: The Deputy Commander of the Iranian Army’s Ground Force for Coordination says Iran is capable of countering external threats through all-round preparedness and strict adherence to the guidelines of the leadership.
According to IRNA, Brigadier General Yousef Qorbani made the remarks on Monday while addressing cadets at Imam Ali Officers’ University in Tehran. He highlighted the Iranian Army’s sacrifices during the Sacred Defense, referring to the eight-year war imposed by the former Iraqi regime of Saddam Hussein in the 1980s.
Qorbani noted that while the form and methods of threats facing Iran have evolved over time, the essence of hostility against the country remains unchanged. He stressed that confronting such challenges requires preserving revolutionary values, strengthening awareness, maintaining comprehensive readiness, and following the leadership’s directives.
Emphasizing the responsibility of future military officers, the senior army official urged the cadets to make continuous efforts to enhance their capabilities and be fully prepared to play decisive roles in safeguarding the nation.
