AhlulBayt News Agency: The Bangladesh Shia Ulema Council, in a statement, declared its full support for and allegiance to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and strongly condemned the military maneuvers, explicit threats, and unlawful actions of the United States against the Islamic Republic of Iran, describing them as a clear violation of international law and a serious threat to regional and global peace and security.
The statement reads as follows:
In the Name of God
God Almighty has said: “So fight the leaders of disbelief; indeed, they have no faith—perhaps they will desist.”
We, the Shia scholars of Bangladesh, observe with deep concern that once again the bloodthirsty and criminal government of the United States, in blatant violation of all international treaties and regulations, has recklessly surrounded the borders of the Islamic Republic of Iran through military deployments and the dangerous stockpiling of the most lethal military equipment and inhumane weapons. They have even openly raised the issue of an assassination attempt against the eminent Shia religious authority and the Leader of the Muslims of the world.
The Bangladesh Shia Ulema Council, while expressing its full support for and allegiance to the Leader, strongly condemns these dangerous maneuvers and unlawful threats by the United States and its shameless backers. The council calls for the unconditional cessation of all plots and military actions against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The council believes that these malicious actions by the United States against Iran constitute a dangerous and irrational game, blind obedience to the demands of global Zionism, and a blatant violation of international law and norms. The people of the world are aware that the dark record of the Great Satan, the domineering United States, is stained with the blood of innocent people across the globe. It is the United States that is the source and origin of terrorism, violence, unrest, and instability in countries around the world. The recent events in Iran are the clearest evidence of this claim.
Therefore, the council calls on international bodies—particularly the United Nations—to take a firm stand against the bloodshed and recklessness of the U.S. government and to prevent the launch of yet another bloody killing ground in the West Asia region.
The Bangladesh Shia Ulema Council once again declares its full support and solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran, its esteemed Leader, and the Iranian people. The council believes that self-defense is the legitimate right of the Iranian nation, and that these military maneuvers and actions by the United States may constitute the international crime of aggression, as they lack any legitimate basis for defensive justification.
