AhlulBayt News Agency: The opposition protested during a joint session of Parliament over Pakistan’s inclusion in the Gaza Peace Board. Addressing the joint session, Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri said that what Netanyahu could not accomplish is now being initiated under the guise of the Peace Board.
He stated that Pakistan became part of the Peace Board without any national consensus, and that lawmakers do not even know what the terms or agenda of the Peace Board are.
On this occasion, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that Donald Trump is strengthening Israeli aggression and issuing threats to Hamas, and that Pakistan is joining a forum whose very foundation is based on threats. He added that the Prime Minister did not take Parliament or the Cabinet into confidence before deciding to join the Peace Board.
He emphasized that it was the Prime Minister’s responsibility to consult and take both Parliament and the Cabinet into confidence before making such a decision.
