AhlulBayt News Agency: On Monday, the United Nations condemned ongoing Israeli attacks on Palestinians seeking humanitarian aid in Gaza, calling for an immediate and independent investigation. Khaled Khiari, UN Assistant Secretary-General, made the remarks during a UN Security Council briefing, strongly denouncing the loss of life and injuries inflicted on Palestinian civilians.
Khiari emphasized that those responsible must be held accountable, urging a transparent probe into the violent incidents near aid distribution centers. He also reaffirmed the UN’s commitment to the principles of humanity, impartiality, independence, and neutrality in delivering humanitarian assistance.
The statement comes amid ongoing Israeli strikes on Palestinians at food aid centers, which have resulted in hundreds of deaths and injuries, drawing international criticism and deepening the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
