The demonstration is being organized to condemn what AISA describes as Israel’s “genocidal war” on Palestinians and the continued blockade of Gaza. The group is urging the Indian government to boycott Israel and end its “complicit silence” on war crimes.
“This is not just a regional issue; this is a humanitarian catastrophe,” reads the AISA statement. “India must stop enabling Israeli apartheid and speak out against the siege.”
AISA is also demanding the immediate release of all crew members and international activists detained aboard the Madleen, a vessel of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition that was intercepted in international waters while carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Protesters are expected to call on the Indian government to apply diplomatic pressure on Israel to lift the blockade, guarantee the safety of detained activists, and allow the unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
The protest is part of a growing wave of student-led and citizen solidarity actions across India following recent crackdowns on pro-Palestine demonstrators in Delhi.
“Free Palestine is not just a slogan—it’s a call for justice. We invite all citizens to stand with Gaza, demand accountability, and break the silence,” the statement concludes.
