AhlulBayt News Agency: Israeli settlers carried out multiple attacks in the occupied West Bank on Saturday, destroying Palestinian property and disrupting educational activities in Bedouin communities near Jericho.
In the Arab al-Milihat community, located northwest of Jericho, settlers reportedly destroyed a sheep pen and a water tank belonging to Palestinian resident Ibrahim Ali Suleiman.
The sheep pen, covering approximately 200 square meters, was used to shelter livestock. The water tank was essential for both drinking and agricultural needs.
Hassan Milihat, general supervisor of the Al-Baidar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, condemned the attack, stating that it was part of a broader pattern of violence aimed at pressuring Palestinian residents to vacate their land. He stressed that these attacks are carried out with the support of Israeli occupation authorities.
In a separate attack on the same day, settlers, accompanied by Israeli occupation soldiers, stormed the Arab al-Ka’abna Elementary School in the al-Ma’arajat area north of Jericho.
According to Milihat, the incursion caused panic among students and raised serious concerns among parents regarding the safety of their children.
He warned that such actions disrupt the educational environment and undermine the security of Palestinian schools.
The attacks come amid a documented rise in settler violence across the West Bank.
According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Israeli settlers carried out 341 attacks against Palestinians and their property in April alone. The report also noted attempts to establish 10 unauthorized settlement outposts during the same month.
Since October 7, 2023, the escalation in settler and IOF attacks in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, has resulted in the martyrdom of at least 967 Palestinians, the injury of approximately 7,000 others, and the arrest of more than 17,000, according to Palestinian data.
The Commission further reported that settlement-related violations have displaced 29 Palestinian communities, comprising 311 families and totaling around 2,000 individuals, since the escalation began.
These developments are occurring in parallel with the ongoing Israeli genocidal war in the Gaza Strip, causing massive civilian casualties and widespread displacement across the enclave.
