AhlulBayt News Agency: Pakistan’s Defense Industries Minister Muhammad Raza Hayat has accused India of using Israeli equipment in its recent military operations, claiming that Israel played a role in escalating tensions in South Asia.
According to Iran Press, speaking in a television interview, Hayat alleged that India lacked the audacity to act alone and insisted that Israel was behind the recent attack. He stated that the drones and weapons used in the operations were of Israeli origin.
His remarks come amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan following a recent four-day conflict. Hayat asserted that Pakistan’s armed forces responded firmly, leading to India’s retreat. He also mentioned the nationwide celebrations in Pakistan known as Youm-e-Tashakkur, describing them as an expression of national pride and gratitude.
Hayat further claimed that the ceasefire was a direct result of Pakistan’s military strength and India’s request for U.S. mediation. He emphasized that Pakistan only targeted military facilities and denied attacking civilian areas.
The minister’s statements have fueled speculation about foreign involvement in regional conflicts. Analysts, including prominent Pakistani journalist Hamid Mir, have warned Islamabad of the broader implications of alleged Israeli support for India’s missile strikes.
Experts suggest that Israel’s role in recent developments should not be overlooked and urge Pakistan to recalibrate its regional policies with caution.
