Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said here Sunday that the World Quds Day was the day of Muslim Ummah’s outcry against lethal cancer of Zionism.

“Muslims in different parts of the world took part in ceremonies that day (the World Quds Day). The global message of such a glorious presence is that giant movement of Iranian nation has spread to the world of Islam and like Iranian nation, Muslim Ummah will not bow to tyranny even if the tyrant is supported by the world’s most powerful states,” said Ayatollah Khamenei in his Eid-ul-Fitr sermons.

Noting that the World Quds Day revealed Iranian nation’s righteousness, the Supreme Leader said that by distinguishing the path of the revolution and the system, the Iranian people once again proved to the world that western policy makers and officials will by their anti-Iran moves reach nowhere and the ploys and tricks of enemies will have no impact on the great Iranian nation’s spirit.

Elsewhere in his address, Ayatollah Khamenei said good morals, kindness and fraternity are prime needs of the society, harshly criticizing newspapers, media and various media apparatus for fanning atmosphere of accusations, suspicion and doubts.

“The regretful trend of exchange of rumors and accusations will darken and tarnish hearts and social atmosphere,” said the paramount leader.

The Ayatollah said that acknowledgments and confessions of any of the accused at the court and before cameras and millions of viewers are religiously, normally and rationally valid, dependable and binding.

The accused’s assertions about other people, however, are not religiously justified and dependable and hence the atmosphere should not be blurred with accusations and suspicion, added the Supreme Leader.

Ayatollah Khamenei invited the nation, the three branches of government and all officials to more cooperation and solidarity and said that in the fourth decade of the revolution, i.e. the decade of progress and justice, dear Iranian nation needs taking giant strides to compensate for backwardness and speed up development and progress.

The Supreme Leader then criticized sluggish reforms in consumption patterns and said that unfortunately, the country missed the opportunity over the past few months to work on the project.

Reform in the consumption pattern is a plan taking long years but officials, academics, seminarians and all should try to follow up the issue seriously and in this run, government should be the vanguard and pioneer, concluded Ayatollah Khamenei.
