Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan said on Saturday that the Americans should leave the region to help restore stability and avoid backing terrorists.
Speaking to reporters, he said the US is now backing terrorists and Takfiri groups.
Referring to the recent allegations made by US officials on restricting defense capabilities of the Iranian forces, he said the Americans have always sought such a goal and the recent allegations made by US secretary of state indicates the country's passivity and helplessness in curbing the defensive might of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Americans try to maintain thier puppet regimes in the region by selling arms to them, he said.
The so-called advocates of human rights take no action in dealing with massacre of people in Yemen and when a minor issue occurs in another country, they make hue and cry on violation of human rights, he said.
