AhlulBayt News Agency - The Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has announced the opening of 35 new literacy centers with the aim of eliminating illiteracy in the holy province of Karbala.
The supervisor of the project, Ahmed al-Shareefi, said, “There are 1000 registered students ages 15-55 from both genders in the 35 centers recently opened by the Holy Shrine,” mentioning the project was in coordination with the Iraqi Education Directorate.
“Arabic language, mathematics and Islamic jurisprudence are some of the subjects of the curriculum,” added al-Shareefi.
It is worth mentioning that the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein provides all the necessities of the project in order to achieve the goal and spread the culture of education.
