A number of high-ranking Iranian officials, including Senior advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Gholamali Haddad-Adel and Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance for Press and Information Affairs Hossein Entezami, attended the closing ceremony of the event held at the Imam Khomeini Grand Prayer Grounds in Tehran on Friday.
"Media performance is an index for showing the extent of freedom in the society," said the key speaker, Haddad-Adel in the closing ceremony stressing the issue is also an indication of how much people abide by regulations.
Gholamali Haddad-Adel placed stress on the prime importance of vigilance at the present situation in which enemies and the World of Arrogance hatch so many plots and machinations against Muslim nations, calling media to be very careful at this time.
In the 21st International Exhibition of the PressRepresentatives from numerous Iranian and foreign newspapers and periodicals as well as news agencies participated in this year’s exhibition.
Various educational workshops and sessions were also held on the sidelines of the press exhibition which opened on November 7 and ran for a week.
The annual event, which has chosen "Fair Criticism, Responsible Answer" as its motto, is attended by representatives of more than 700 domestic media in 567 pavilions.
