AhlulBayt News Agency: Tunisian filmmaker Kaouther Ben Hania is directing a new drama based on the tragic death of Hind Rajab, a six-year-old Palestinian girl killed in Gaza by Israeli forces in 2024.

According to a report by Variety, the film is produced by Nadim Cheikhrouha, known for Four Daughters, along with Oscar-winning producers Odessa Rae and James Wilson.

Hind Rajab’s death became a symbol of Israeli war crimes in Gaza, sparking international outrage. She was one of thousands of children killed in the conflict, but her story resonated globally.

Student demonstrators at Columbia University renamed occupied buildings in her honor, highlighting the impact of her tragic fate.

Hind and her family were fleeing northern Gaza when their car was struck by Israeli fire, killing her uncle, aunt, and three cousins. She was left trapped in the vehicle for hours, pleading for help over the phone with the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.

Paramedics who attempted to rescue her were also killed. Their bodies, along with Hind’s, were discovered on February 10 after Israeli forces withdrew from the area.

Investigative journalists from The Washington Post and Sky News used satellite imagery and video analysis to conclude that Israeli tanks fired hundreds of rounds at the vehicle. Further analysis by Forensic Architecture found that an Israeli tank also struck the ambulance dispatched to rescue Hind.
