Ibrahim Abu Aqeel: Media plays a vital role in spreading the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (AS)

Ibrahim Abu Aqeel, a Nigerian media activist, during the third International Conference of Media Narrators of Ahl al-Bayt (AS), emphasized the importance of media activities in disseminating the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (AS). He discussed the need for precise planning and training for young media practitioners across the African continent.

According to the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) News Agency—ABNA: The third international conference of Media Narrators of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) commenced this morning, coinciding with the "Days of the Kiramah", with the participation of media activists and intellectuals from Iran and several African countries. The event was held at the Assembly Hall of the World Ahl al-Bayt (AS) Assembly in the hly city of Qom. The conference was organized by the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) International News Agency (ABNA).

Ibrahim Abu Aqeel, a media activist from Nigeria, emphasized the importance of media activities in promoting the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and authentic Islam. He stated: "If media activities are given enough attention, they can greatly contribute to spreading the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and true Islam. Many young people in Nigeria are active on social media and in the media, but they do not have the desired impact."

He added: "To achieve the goal of conveying truths to the people in this field, precise planning is necessary. Obstacles include lack of awareness about media management, insufficient religious knowledge, and the absence of institutions to train and support media activists."

Abu Aqeel also mentioned economic challenges that hinder young people's effective activity in cyberspace. He said: "There are educated and intelligent individuals capable of meaningful activity online, but due to economic difficulties, they are unable to fulfill their roles in this regard."

He proposed that the solution to these issues involves reconstructing and organizing training workshops to educate young people across Africa. He added: "By training them in professional management of cyberspace and supporting African students in media activities, these problems can be addressed."
