Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says the Israeli regime is the only proxy force in the region and will be rooted out from Palestine.
In a sermon delivered after Eid al-Fitr prayers at the Grand Prayer Grounds in Tehran, Ayatollah Khamenei said Israeli atrocities against the people of Palestine and Lebanon saddened Muslims during the month of Ramadan.
The Leader said the Israeli regime is the only proxy force in the region, which works on behalf of colonialist forces to violate the territories and sovereignties of countries.
Assassinating figures, Ayatollah Khamenei said, is the Tel Aviv regime’s routine work, which has the support of the United States and other Western governments.
“This criminal band must be rooted out from Palestine — and by God’s grace, it will be,” the Leader said.
Ayatollah Khamenei referred to threats by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran and said if any such act of evil is carried out, “they will certainly receive a heavy blow in return.”
Eid al-Fitr is one of the most important religious holidays celebrated by Muslims around the world. It marks the conclusion of 29 or 30 days of dawn-to-sunset fasting in the holy month of Ramadan.
