AhlulBayt News Agency: The secretary general of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; Sayed Mustafa Mortadha Dea' Uddin stated that more than (1555) tons of aid materials will be sent to the earthquake victims in Syria, as part of the first relief campaign of the holy shrine.
The secretary general said in a statement to the News Center that" the Al-Abbas's (P) Holy Shrine, in accordance with the directives of the supreme religious authority and its Senior Official; Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, has completed all its preparations to conduct its first relief campaigns, for the earthquake victims in Syria, "indicating that "the campaign includes sending more than (1555) tons of aid materials to the earthquake victims in Syria."
He added that" the relief campaign of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine includes sending more than 220 individuals representing the service and humanitarian effort, to transport food, medical supplies, medicines, secure housing and shelter supplies, to establish camps for people who lost their homes due to the earthquake, as well as the participation of a number of Service processions to provide food to the affected, in addition to securing 108 tons of fuel for electric power generators, "pointing to "the conduct of other relief campaigns to Syria after the completion of this first campaign."
"The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine relief campaign will be transported to Syrian territory via 76 different types of transport vehicles to meet the needs of people affected by the earthquake as soon as possible,"he said.
According to the secretary-general, "the relief campaigns of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine come to provide a helping hand and assistance to Syrian brothers, after the incident of the earthquake that hit several scattered areas in the north of Syria," indicating that "the Holy Shrine is always extending a helping hand to those affected in various areas, in which it can provide assistance, whether in Iraq or abroad."
