The director of the Division; Mr. Adel Saad, said that "all paramedic cases were transferred by a specialized medical team to be delivered to the nearest health institution in coordination with the Karbala health department".
He added that" most of the cases were transferred to Zain al-Abideen Hospital (peace be upon him), Sayed al-Shuhada Complex, Sayeda Zaynab Center (peace be upon her) and al-Safeer Hospital, because of its proximity to the Holy Sanctuary, "noting that "some serious cases took about an hour or more to be transferred due to heavy traffic, which necessitated the presence of a trained medical team to provide the necessary care during transportation."
He explained that "the division contacted the Ministry of Health, the Department of operations, emergency medical services and Popular Mobilization Medical Affairs to provide the division with ambulances as well as vehicles belonging to the holy shrine, bringing the total number of (22) ambulances".
"Medium-sized cases are handled in real time by detachments affiliated to the holy shrine, by providing these detachments with medical personnel, who are concerned with providing the necessary medical services for simple and medium cases, while highly critical cases are transferred to nearby institutions," he said.
Saad pointed out that" the division provided its medical services to the distinguished visitors, through its medical detachments deployed inside the Holy Sanctuary and surrounding areas, "stressing "the division's commitment to the recommendations of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, on the need to take into account the movement of visitors and not confuse them, and take the specified routes during the transfer of cases."
