Saudi Arabia carries out 53 violations in Yemen's Hodeidah during past 24 hours

The Liaison and Coordination Officers’ Operations Room, which monitors violations of the Stockholm Agreement and Ceasefire, recorded 53 violations, by the US-Saudi aggression, in Hodeidah, during the past 24 hours.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Liaison and Coordination Officers’ Operations Room, which monitors violations of the Stockholm Agreement and Ceasefire, recorded 53 violations, by the US-Saudi aggression, in Hodeidah, during the past 24 hours.

The source pointed out that among the violations, flying two warplanes and spy drones, in addition to 19 attacks with artillery, missiles and more than 123 shells.

On a daily basis, Saudi-led aggression violates the UN-backed agreement, reached between the warring sides during a round of UN-sponsored peace negotiations in Sweden in December 2018.

The agreement committed the parties to an immediate ceasefire in the city of Hodeidah and the ports of Hodeidah, Salif and Ras Issa, redeployment of forces, securing the ports, the establishment of the joint Redeployment Coordination Committee chaired by the United Nations, and the use of the revenues of the ports to support civil service salary payments.

The violations also came despite claims by the invaders that they were halting military operations in support of United Nations peace efforts and to avoid further spread of the new coronavirus in Yemen.

On April 8, Riyadh claimed it would halt all military operations for two weeks to counter the spread of the Coronavirus. Then it announced on April 24, that it was extending the unilateral ceasefire by one month. But since then, it has violated the ceasefire numerous times.

The head of the Yemeni National Delegation Mohammed Abdulsalam has dismissed the ceasefire claim as “false and misleading”, saying the coalition of aggression had even escalated their offensives against Yemen.
