(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - While Norwegian have criticized the European Union received the Nobel Peace Prize, Royal National Medal award withdrawn from a Norwegian Shia due to the presure of Zionist lobby Royal National Medal awarded to him by Kind Herrold V of Norway for meritorious services rendered to people way beyond the call of duty, however has been withdrawn the next day.
It’s up to county authorities in Norway to receive and process nominations for the king’s service medal in silver (Kongens fortjenstmedalje i solv), the lowest grade of royal decorations. They in turn send a proposal to the Royal Palace, where a final decision on such awards is made.
Officials at the National Theater in Oslo decided to cancel the ceremony for what they called “security reasons.” Children were due to be present, and there was concern for their well-being.
“We’ve had a lot of reaction over the past day, along with warnings of demonstrations,” Ida Margrethe Halvorsen, communications chief for the National Theater, told Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK). “We have therefore decided to cancel this arrangement in our locale.”
NRK later reported that Linstad was poised to receive the medal later in the afternoon at an impromptu event set up as an alternative to the National Theater ceremony, but it was cancelled, too, after a discussion involving Palace officials and Linstad.
“It’s clear the Palace has been under severe pressure lately and has asked for some time to think,” Linstad told NRK. “We accept that.”
The Medal is awarded as a reward for particularly meritorious work performed throughout a lengthy period of time in private or public service, where such service has lain significantly above and beyond the norm, and where the person concerned has also demonstrated active societal involvement beyond his work performance. Another criterion is that the person concerned has made a lifelong contribution which can stand as an example to others.
In making the award, an official announcement on behalf of Kind Herrold V of Norway had said: “As a medical doctor, this medal is awarded to Dr Linstad for years of selfless service to immigrant communities in Greenland (immigrant settlement area near Oslo).” The Urtenhagen Islamic Foundation caters to the needs of more than 280 immigrant children of all backgrounds that receive free medical and educational services. Immigrant families similarly receive free services.
Dr Trond Ali Linstad, founder and chairman of Urtenhagen Islamic Foundation in Oslo, was told by a court official that the Royal National Medal awarded to him for meritorious services rendered to people way beyond the call of duty, has been withdrawn. Dr Linstad was awarded Norway’s silver medal for services to immigrant communities and children that reside in the Urtenhagen locality outside Oslo.
A day after this announcement was made, another announcement from the palace said: “Since we have found Dr Ali Linstad to be an ‘anti-Semite’, he is not qualified to be a recipient of this award.”
This scandalous allegation was made against Dr Linstad because he has been a leading critic of Zionism. Israeli supporters deliberately conflate anti-zionism with anti-semitism. The charge against Dr Linstad is ludicrous. He has invited leading Israeli intellectuals including the late Israel Shahak to speak at his center. He also regularly invites anti-zionist rabbis to conferences and meetings.
It is clear that the medal was withdrawn under Zionist pressure that forced the royal palace into this scandalous behavior. After cancelling the award ceremony at which the medal was to be presented, a palace official called Dr Linstad to offer his profound apologies but said he was helpless in this matter because of the huge pressure exerted by the Zionist lobby on the palace. In his mid-twenties, Dr Linstad had served on an Israeli kibbutz where he discovered firsthand the racist attitude of Zionists.
One is forced to ask: since when has support for the Islamic Republic become a crime? A Norwegian medical doctor involved in social work serving disadvantage communities in Oslo has had his medal of honor withdrawn under pressure from the Zionist lobby.
He was appalled at the manner in which the Zionists mistreated and humiliated Palestinians, a practice that continues to this day. By making the scandalous allegation of anti-Semitism against anyone that is critical of the racist ideology of Zionism, Israeli supporters think they can fool the people indefinitely. People worldwide are waking up to this reality and are no longer prepared to accept Zionist racism. Many people are openly speaking out against it and are prepared to face the consequences. Two other allegations were also made against Dr Linstad: that he supports the Islamic Republic of Iran, and that he opposes gays and lesbians.
The Zionists are rabid Islamophobes and indulge in a vicious campaign whipping up anti-Iran hysteria to pave the way for an illegal war against the Islamic Republic but this can in no way be used as an argument against an individual who is involved in rendering great service to humanity. As for the charge that he is against gays and lesbians, in the Islamic faith, such attitude is forbidden. Dr Linstad is a Muslim. He is doing no more than following his religious conviction. Since when has it become compulsory to believe in and practice gay and lesbian behavior?
Norway is supposed to be an independent country; it is not a Zionist colony yet the Zionists think they can dictate to any government, any country, anywhere in the world as to how that government/country can or cannot behave.
Dr Linstad may have been denied a medal for services he is rendering to humanity, this will in no way take away from him the honor that he has enjoys among the people he serves.
He is a role model for all human beings. He did not launch his services for the sake of a medal, but only to please Allah. His reward is surely with Allah, the Best of Providers and the Sustainer of all the worlds.
Oslo Mayor Fabian Stang, generally an enthusiastic supporter of the royal family and royal decorations in Norway, was supposed to make the royal award on behalf of King Harald, but withdrew.
“I usually award the King’s service medals with pleasure, but in this case I evaluated it as problematic,” Stang told Aftenposten. “Linstad has surely made a good contribution in some areas, but in order to hand over such an award I need to be able to identify myself with the recipient to a bit higher degree.”

It’s believed he was nominated for the king’s service medal for his work with Urtehagen, a foundation he launched around 10 years ago to set up Oslo’s first Muslim day care centers for children and, later, a high school. Linstad told newspaper Aftenposten that he’s been “misunderstood.” He claims he’s not anti-Semitic but rather “anti-Zionist, anti-colonist” and opposed to “sectarian” states established on Palestinian land, whether they be “Jewish, Buddhist or whatever…”
Who is Trond Ali Linstad?
Trond Ali Linstad (born 11 December 1942) is a physician, Norwegian member of General Assembly of Ahlul Bayt (a.s) World Assembly and prominent person in the Muslim community in Oslo and Norway.
Trond have traveled to Egypt, Turkey, Syria, India, Pakistan, Myanmar and African countries. In the 1970s, was politically active in the Marxist-Leninist movement.
In his mid-twenties on the propagation of Zionists for holocaust which encouraged European youth serve on Israeli kibbutz, Dr Linstad joined them where he discovered firsthand the racist attitude of Zionists and left there.
In 1970 he traveled to Jordan via Beirut and worked as a volunteer doctor in the refugee camps and the countryside during Black September, the civil war in Jordan. He was from 1977 to 1986 chairman of the Palestine Committee, and in this connection he was often in the Middle East.
He converted to Shia Islam and took the other first name Ali.
During the 40 years of his service, Doctor Ali has done a glorious job. The following is just some of his activities:
- He has been awarded the Palestine Red Crescent Society’s Medal of Honor for his work among Palestinian refugees;
- For many years he has been a family doctor, with a large number of immigrant patients in Oslo;
- He is one of the nine specially selected persons in the “Local Records” travelling exhibition, which is now being shown throughout Norway;
- He was active in Norway’s workers’ communist party (AKP) during the 1970s and later chaired a pro-Palestinian committee in Norway;
- Served in refugee camps in Lebanon and Jordan;
- Establishment of Urtehagen Islamic Foundation for religious, cultural and social activities;
- Daily broadcasting religious program on Oslo radio and television (his TV programs, is the only Islamic TV program in Oslo);
- Writing books and numerous articles on Islam, Shia school of thoughts, Iran, Islamic Revolution of Iran, Imam Khomeini in Norwegian;
- Establishing "Muslims Journal" in Norwegian from 1991, he is its editor too;
- Holding rallies and protests in support of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon and Palestine;
- Establishment of Quranic and Islamic Website koranen.no in Norwegian;
- Establishment and administration of the only Islamic kindergarten in Norway with about 280 children (along with Quran classes, foreign language, computers, sports and one day camps);
- Established the first Islamic Shia elementary school with 500 students (the school curriculum is like other Norwegian public schools with Islamic environment and teaching Islamic Studies);
- Establishment of Urtehagen high school for immigrant girls;
- Establishment of children farm (with the aim of creating a safe and secure environment for children, and away from the stress of urban environment).
“Our aim is to develop them as Muslims, and at the same time teach them about the Norwegian society. This is in our opinion, good integration” Doctor Trond Ali Linstad stressed his purpose of working for children, adolescents and young people.
This is an excerpt from a statement of the students at the private school, now these days: "We believe that Linstad deserve the King's Medal of Merit for his support and efforts to integrate immigrants, especially women and children. He helps the women to get out and in activities and studies. He has opened several kindergartens in addition to the herb garden private school. We look at him as a bridge between immigrants and Norwegians, because he has confidence among immigrants. An example of this is the former were many Somali parents who were reluctant to send their children to kindergarten, but after Linstad started their work, several people began to send them to kindergarten. It is important that Norwegians see what he does, because he does a lot of good for Norway."
This Norwegian member of Ahlul Bayt (as) World Assembly was presented in the late local submits of West Europe in Germany 2010. Hundreds of Shia elites from 120 countries are members of Ahlul Bayt (as) World Assembly.
