According to the Ahlul Bayt (AS) News Agency - ABNA - His Holiness Ayatollah Karimi Jahromi, during a meeting with several colleagues from the Ahlul Bayt (AS) News Agency, expressed his support for the efforts of those promoting the Ahlul Bayt (AS) teachings. He emphasized the important role of news agencies globally, stating that it is essential to introduce the culture and esteemed teachings of Ali (AS) and his family (peace be upon them) to society. He remarked that the most sacred mission of news agencies is to ensure the legacy of Ahlul Bayt (AS) remains vibrant worldwide, especially through the dissemination of this knowledge in various languages.
Citing a hadith from the Infallible Imam (AS), he noted that a believer must possess three qualities: first, divine assistance; second, an inner preacher; and third, a willingness to accept advice from others. He highlighted that promoting the teachings of Ahlul Bayt (AS) requires a level of accomplishment that is not easily attainable. It is necessary to convey the truths of this school of thought and its followers to the world. He emphasized that this country, known for its guardianship and named after the Imams (AS), rightfully deserves active representation in news media.
Quoting the late Grand Ayatollah Golpaygani (RA), Ayatollah Karimi Jahromi recounted that Imam Sadiq (AS) narrated from the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH):
مَن سَمِعَ رَجلاً يُنادِي يا لَلمسلمينَ! فَلَم يُجِبهُ، فلَيسَ بمُسلِمٍ؛
"Anyone who hears a person in need and does not offer help is not a Muslim.”
He pointed out that the Shiite community faces numerous challenges, and no group is as oppressed as the Shiites, akin to their leader, the Commander of the Faithful (AS), who was the first to experience oppression. He highlighted the duty to advocate for the concerns of Ahlul Bayt (AS) followers and to raise awareness of the injustices faced by communities such as the oppressed Shiites in Parachinar, urging that these grievances be brought to the attention of the world to awaken the conscience of humanity. He asserted that reporting on these injustices constitutes a form of jihad against wrongdoers.
Regarding reporting during crises, Ayatollah Karimi Jahromi stated, “While reporting during normal times may hold limited significance, it becomes critically important when Shiite communities and followers of Ahlul Bayt (AS) are facing severe oppression in various regions."
In conclusion, he reflected on the sacrifice of Lady Zahra (SA) for the teachings of this school and urged that, just as figures like Lady Zaynab al-Kubra (SA) ensured Lady Zahra's (SA) messages reached future generations, contemporary advocates should utilize new tools and platforms to convey the oppression of Shiites to the people of the world, so that you may be included in the prayers of Amir al-Mu'minin (AS), Lady Fatimah (SA), and Imam al-Zamana (AJF).
At the beginning of the meeting, Hassan Sadraei Aref, the managing director of ABNA News Agency, provided a brief report on the agency's activities.
